Sunset Social Spotlight: Logan Dunn of Bad Attitude Bread
This summer, VegTO is bringing people together for Sunset Social, a new evening series set on the rooftop of The Big Carrot in Greektown. We wanted a space that felt as good as the food, and The Big Carrot's rooftop green space fit perfectly: a quiet, green escape above the city, made for watching the sky change colour with a plate in hand and good company all around.
Each Sunset Social puts the spotlight on a different local, plant-based food vendor, giving guests a chance to taste their way through some of the city's best plant-based makers over the course of the summer, one evening and one brand at a time. It's a way to discover new favourites, meet the people behind them, and enjoy Greektown from a rooftop most people never get to see.
Who Is Logan Dunn?
Logan Dunn is the founder of Bad Attitude Bread, a plant-based bakery in Toronto's west end, and the host of VegTO's first Sunset Social of the season. Trained as a pastry chef, Logan learned the technical craft behind a truly great baked good, from the lamination on a croissant to the crumb on a loaf, before bringing that skillset into the plant-based food world. He saw room to do something different: classic, familiar treats made entirely without animal products, built to appeal to anyone with a sweet tooth, not just those already eating plant-based.
What began as a pop-up moving between spots across the west end has since grown into a full brick-and-mortar bakery, now a fixture and a destination for anyone craving a really good pastry.
Bad Attitude Bread Sunset Social: Date, Time and Tickets
VegTO's Sunset Social with Bad Attitude Bread takes place Friday, July 17th, from 7 to 9:30pm, on the rooftop of The Big Carrot in Greektown. Logan will be bringing Bad Attitude's pastries along with him. It's a great chance to meet the person behind the bakery and taste the goods for yourself, whether you eat vegan, vegetarian, dairy free, egg free, gluten free, or none of the above.
