Saturday, 12 December 2009
Lisa is joined by cookbook author (Joy of Vegan Baking and The Vegan Table), vegan activist and celebrated speaker, Colleen Patrick Goudreau who has kept herself very busy since her visit to Toronto for the 25th Vegetarian Food Fair (seriously, she's currently working on books 3, 4 and 5!). Lisa describes the launch of TVA's year focused on Compassion and asks Colleen to shed some light on how to approach the holiday season with compassion in mind. Colleen, founder of Compassionate Cooks, shares her thoughts on navigating the holiday season's tricky social situations with joy.
Colleen shares her thoughts on:
Remembering the purpose behind our holiday traditions;
Creating opportunities to celebrate with those we love in ways that fit with our values; and Fantastic food ideas that will impress discerning palates and destroy any remaining misconception that veganism is about deprivation.
