Ontario Vegetarian Food Bank partnership
Tuesday, 18 November 2008

Food BankThe Toronto Vegetarian Association is proud to announce a new partnership with the Ontario Vegetarian Food Bank, the first of it’s kind in Canada.  Founded by Malan Joseph, the food bank’s mission is to engage, inspire and lead Ontarians in creating a hunger-free world. They aim to provide nutritious food to low income vegetarians, as well as support and hope.

The Vegetarian Food Bank has two locations; 2370 Midland Avenue (open Saturdays from 3 to 6 pm) and 2400 Finch Avenue West (open Saturdays from 10 am to noon). Visit their website or phone them at 416-744-4357 for more information.

We are currently accepting non-perishable food items, as well as baby diapers, bath soap, cleaning materials, laundry detergent and pet food, for donation to the Food Bank at our Resource Centre. Visit our Resource Centre homepage for hours and directions.
