Toronto Vegetarian AssociationFounded in 1945, the Toronto Vegetarian Association is a volunteer-driven charitable organization governed by an elected board of directors. Our 2011-13 Strategic Plan Over the next three years the Toronto Vegetarian Association will develop our funding model, our human resources and our status as an authority on plant-based living so we can increase our impact through outreach and community support. Success will mean stable and diversified funding for all activities; greater volunteer engagement; increased capacity to provide resources; larger and more diverse membership and volunteer base; and increased impact of our outreach programs and community initiatives. Developed, enacted and fully-evaluated by Toronto Vegetarian Association volunteers, staff and board members, our 2008-10 Strategic Plan created a roadmap to use the organization’s resources, people and energy to achieve our mission in the most effective way possible. Over the three years of this plan the Toronto Vegetarian Association made significant progress in our four core initiative areas: to align and focus our programs, to increase the persuasiveness of our communcations, to generate new revenue to sustain our activities, and to ensure that the organization is inclusive towards those with diverse views, experiences and backgrounds.
