Running for the Toronto Vegetarian Association
Thursday, 23 September 2010

Members of the Toronto Vegetarian Team aim to run a 250km and raise $7500

Some members of the Toronto Vegetarian Team

On Sunday September 26th, seventeen runners will participate in the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, Half-Marathon and 5k Run as the part of the Toronto Vegetarian Team.

These runners have been working hard all summer long to prepare for the race and to raise $7500 in support of the Toronto Vegetarian Association.

Together, our team will run a total of more than 250km this weekend, demonstrating that vegetarians are strong athletes and that becoming vegetarian is a great way for people to improve their health, reduce animal suffering and protect the environment. The funds raised will take this outreach a step further by supporting TVA initiatives like the Annual Vegetarian Food Fair, our community outreach program, the Veggie Challenge, Meatless Mondays and much more.

Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront MarathonSponsor the Toronto Vegetarian Team today to add your support to hundreds of TVA members and volunteers working to inspire people to choose a healthier, greener, more peaceful lifestyle. Help us demonstrate the power of active, healthy herbivores!
